Concordia University Chicago (CUC) has partnered with City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) to support students from the Star Scholar Program continue their education. Through this partnership, eligible students are granted a direct pathway via guaranteed admission at CUC—and may also qualify for a $2,000 Chicago Star Scholarship. This program is dedicated to ensuring a seamless transfer and offering students additional financial assistance for their academic accomplishments.

Transfer Admission Guarantee Program

An important benefit of this partnership is guaranteed admission to CUC for all Star Scholars.

Upon successfully completing the General Education Core Curriculum for the state of Illinois, and obtaining an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree at CCC, students may gain direct entry to CUC's traditional undergraduate programs, excluding nursing. Students must meet all academic and program admission requirements for CUC and their chosen major.

The Chicago Star Scholarship

In addition to guaranteed admission, Star Scholars may also be eligible to receive a $2,000 Chicago Star Scholarship. This scholarship is renewable for up to two years and is offered in addition to other financial aid a Star Scholars student qualifies for.

To become eligible, Star Scholars must:

  • Earn an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree from one of the City Colleges of Chicago
  • Maintain a cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Enroll as a full-time student in a traditional degree program at Concordia University Chicago
