Christian Early Childhood Education Initiative
Concordia University Chicago is the recognized, world-leader in Christian Early Childhood Education (CECE) “As we work with young children, it is useful to remember that we are developing their root system of memories, of experiences, of concepts. These roots, now and later, can then grow into the sturdy person who has a strong sense of worth as a person and a child of God.” - Dr. Shirley K. Morgenthaler, Distinguished Professor of Education at Concordia-Chicago.
Concordia University Chicago believes that every child deserves a quality start to their lifelong educational journey. For forty years Concordia-Chicago has provided excellence in early childhood teacher education. As the field of early childhood education continues to evolve, CUC is committed to producing innovative and dynamic practices, programs, and degrees rooted in Christian heritage.
From our campus in River Forest, Illinois we seek to be the recognized world leader in Christian Early Childhood Education. To accomplish this, we need, first and foremost, to teach the teachers who will teach all the children! We desire to impact children by serving as the catalyst for a network of Christian early childhood educators and administrators.
