Alumni Invited to Honor Retiring President Daniel Gard

As President Daniel L. Gard's retirement nears, Concordia-Chicago has been celebrating his contributions to the University. Celebrate Head Athletic Trainer Terri Woods this June

Since 1984 Terri J. Woods, Concordia Cougars Head Athletic Trainer, has worked alongside nearly 100 student assistants, interns, graduate assistants and medical professionals to serve 3,600+ student athletes. As Terri retires this June, alumni, colleagues and friends are encouraged to share well wishes as well as celebrate her at a reception in her honor on Thursday, June 20 at 6 – 9 p.m. Learn More >>

The Distinguished Alumni Awards celebrate graduates who exemplify Concordia University Chicago's core values and have brought credit to their alma mater through their personal accomplishment, professional achievement, or humanitarian service. We are honored to announce the 2019 Honorees are Colette Case BA '83 - Distinguished Alumni, Undergraduate; Pascale Creek Pinner PhD '12 - Distinguished Alumni, Graduate; and Mary (Holl) Scott BA '80 - Spiritus Christi.

Lutheran Education Journal Continues 155-Year Legacy

Dr. Shirley K. Morgenthaler BS '59, LEJ editor, is honored to announce release of the Lutheran Education Journal – Vol 155, Issue 2. Founded in 1865, just one year after the college, the journal's primary purpose is to support teachers, congregations and parents with articles on curriculum, teaching methods, home training and discipline. This spring issue features 12 articles including a historical perspective from a 1929 article on The Learning Process by J.E. Potzger as well as a The Last Word by retiring President Daniel Gard. Athletic Hall of Fame Celebrates 60 Years of Women's Athletics

Concordia’s Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who best exemplify the mission and spirit of Concordia and its Athletics Department. This year's all-female induction class coincides with the University's 60th Anniversary of Women's Athletics on campus. These individuals will be honored on Homecoming Saturday, October 26 and include Andrea Anderson BA ’79, Stephanie Katzenberger BA ’99, Alexandra (Schmidt) Miller BA ’14, Kim (Schumacher) Willi BA ’95 and the 1984 Softball team. Registration will open later this summer. Learn More>>
