The Ferguson Art Gallery at Concordia University Chicago is pleased to announce its first exhibit of the academic year, the Alumni and Student Art Show. The exhibit will be free and open to the public from Aug. 26 to Sept. 28. A reception with the artists will be held in the gallery Sunday, Sept. 8 from 2-4 p.m., with an artist talk at 3 p.m.

View an eclectic array of art from three Concordia-Chicago art alumni—Aaron Bean BA ’16 of Aaron Bean Photo | Film; Samantha Bender BA ’11 of Pleasantly Crafted; and Julie Sulzen BA ’17 of Sulzen Fine Art Studio—and current students enrolled in CUC art classes. The variety of works on display will showcase photography, painting, calligraphy, digital art, ceramics and more.

“The entrepreneurial skill sets of alumni Aaron, Samantha and Julie are phenomenal and serve as inspiration to current students and the CUC community,” says Nikkole Huss, Ferguson Gallery director and professor of art. “Be sure to check out the QR codes in the gallery linked to the alumni’s websites to see additional examples of their art and learn more about their success stories founded in time spent at Concordia-Chicago.”
