Graduating art majors exhibit work at Concordia-Chicago Ferguson Gallery
The Ferguson Art Gallery at Concordia University Chicago presents the final exhibit of the academic year, the Graduating Senior Art Show, from April 10 to May 6. The exhibition is free and open to the public and will feature a wide range of two and three-dimensional works of art in a variety of media, including clay, painting, photography, printmaking, jewelry, artists’ books and graphic design.
The students exhibiting their work are graduating this year with majors in art, graphic arts, pre-art therapy or art education. Artists include Ana Patino, Andrea Kerwin, Ariana Vartzikos, Bailey Panjkovich, Elijah McGuffin, Julie Sulzen (Zamudio), Marty Trejo, Miranda Rogers, Nikki Ganze, Elizabeth Dongas, Ryan Shipley and Christian Rasmussen.
A reception with the student artists will be held in the gallery on Saturday, April 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. All are invited to meet these budding stars and get inspired by their creativity and passion.
The Ferguson Art Gallery is located in Kretzmann Hall at Concordia University Chicago, 7400 Augusta St., River Forest, IL. The gallery is directed by BettyAnn Mocek, professor of art at CUC and prominent Chicago artist, educator and arts advocate.
