Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship opens at Concordia-Chicago
Concordia University of Chicago’s College of Business recently announced the opening of its new Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE). Through local, national and global activities, the CIE will nurture entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to embrace ingenuity and innovation so they can establish thriving businesses.
The CIE will serve the community with an extensive range of topical and experiential programs including a speaker series, seminars, workshops, research projects, consulting engagements and sponsored internships at innovative and entrepreneurial companies.
“Entrepreneurship and innovation is one of the four pillars of knowledge upon which the College of Business has built its programs,” said Dr. Claudia Santin, dean of the College of Business. “By establishing this center, the college is moving beyond traditional academic programs to foster innovative entrepreneurial education for Chicagoland organizations and the global society it serves.”
The College of Business offers undergraduate minors and majors in entrepreneurship, and an MBA specialization in entrepreneurship, as well as a doctorate in business administration (DBA) focusing on innovation in strategic leadership and health care studies. Courses are offered online, on campus and in global locations.
