CUC Ranked Among Top U.S. Universities for Teacher Education

Concordia University Chicago has been highly ranked by The College Database’s list of Top U.S. Colleges and Universities for Teaching Education. Placing 22nd out of the approximately 7,400 U.S. colleges and universities surveyed, Concordia-Chicago was recognized for its high-quality education bachelor’s and master’s level degree programs.

“When pursuing a college degree, it’s important for students to find a school that fits their academic, professional and campus wants and needs,” says Teresa Mullins, managing director for The College Database. “Therefore, it’s equally important to recognize the colleges and universities with programs and atmospheres that truly make a difference.”

Dr. Kevin Brandon, dean of the College of Education for Concordia-Chicago, says the recognition speaks boldly of the University’s mission to develop creative, competent and compassionate servant leaders.

“Through our rigorous, widely diverse courses of study, we are preparing students to make an impact on not only traditional learners in parochial and public schools, but to the growing number of learners who benefit from specialized education,” Brandon says. “We are proud of this recognition and will continue grow our programs to fit the needs of our students and the communities in which they will serve.”

Concordia University Chicago currently boasts a nationally recognized early childhood education, The Walter And Maxine Christopher Center for Learning and Leadership, as well as an ever-growing Global Outreach Center, which allows CUC teacher candidates to experience teaching in different countries while learning how to incorporate global topics in the classroom.
