The Strategic Communication track teaches students the ways in which messages are delivered to, from, and within organizations. Courses examine communication and its relation to individuals and organizations through both written and oral means. In order to prepare students for the future, courses will emphasize important lifelong skills such as writing, speaking, organization and critical thinking.

Students who choose the Strategic Communication track will learn the skills necessary to succeed in different fields ranging from government to profit and not-for-profit businesses. Public relations, advertising, event planning, and corporate communication are just a few of the careers one can choose from after completing the Strategic Communication track.

Courses are a mix of applied and theoretical and provide students with the opportunity to build their resume with experiential assignments, service learning opportunities, internships and senior projects. The city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs have a wealth of opportunities for students at CUC.
