Carol Schefelbein, EdD

Associate Professor of Curriculum, Language and Literacy

Dr. Schefelbein teaches courses on how to comprehend an author’s message. She researches reading comprehension in students at the kindergarten through third grade level, while focusing on the connection between reading, writing and scholastic success.

Among her interests are tutoring students in literacy and working as the coordinator of the Reading Specialist Program for Concordia. She has been a member of the faculty since 2005.
