Participants will discover the timeless value of picture books in literacy instruction across grade levels. This presentation will highlight the versatility of picture books and provide strategies for their use across various domains of literacy instruction.
Presenters:
Dr. Kari Pawl is a professor and chair of the Division of Teaching and Learning at Concordia University Chicago. She is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in literacy. Her areas of expertise include curriculum development, program evaluation, instructional methods, and assessments.
Dr. Samantha Caesar is an associate professor of reading/literacy at Concordia University Chicago. In addition to her academic role, she consults for schools and designs professional development programs that help educators improve literacy instruction and student outcomes.
