The Concordia-Chicago Honors Program Experience
The Honors Program at Concordia University Chicago is designed for exceptional learners who expect more out of their educational experience. These exclusive courses provide a challenging and insightful curriculum that stimulates curiosity and maximizes your learning potential during your college career.
As an Honors Program student, you will complete a 18-semester hour program throughout your Concordia-Chicago career. You will take advantage of enhanced courses that include:
- Special honors-only classes
- Study abroad/semester-away opportunities
- Independent senior honors projects
You will also be required to devote a portion of your time (30 hours) to community
service, which carries out the University’s mission of servant leadership. This experience will benefit you by expanding your networking range and could provide new resources for your projects.
Our honors scholars receive special recognition at commencement and are presented with a bronze medallion on a ribbon of maroon and gold. Your completion of the Honors Program will be noted on your final CUC transcript, which is a valuable distinction for future employers and graduate schools.
