The Human Communication and Culture specialization provides students with the theoretical knowledge base to understand how communication impacts social interaction. Within this track, relationships, culture, organizations, and teams are analyzed through the lens of communication.

The Human Communication and Culture specialization will provide students with a strong skill set if they choose to attend a graduate program after they finish with their undergraduate program at CUC. Students who choose to go to graduate school after completing the Human Communication and Culture specialization  will find that they have a good foundation for a variety of programs in graduate school, whether they choose Communication Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Women’s and Gender Studies, or other social science disciplines.

Students will hone in on their writing and speaking skills and learn how to understand, analyze, and critique human behavior. Students will have an opportunity to create their own research, present at conferences, and participate in the Communication Club, Communication in Action (CIA).
