Robert Sorensen, PhD

Dr. Sorensen teaches biblical Greek, Scripture, ancient Judaism, and early Christianity. His doctoral dissertation was on Luke-Acts. Beyond the New Testament writings, his other areas of interest include First Temple Judaism, Greco-Roman history, the early Church Fathers and Christian worship.
He was an associate editor of the Lutheran Study Bible as well as a contributor to the Spanish language hymnbook ¡Cantad al Señor! Dr. Sorensen has been a full-time member of Concordia’s faculty since 2006.
