Media Arts Administration encompasses a diverse range of managerial, financial, marketing and development positions within the media and arts world: working for film distributiors, museums, television and radio stations, digital production houses, cinemas, film festivals and other media arts organizations. There is a demand for knowledge administrators who can adeptly supervise and strategize, including those who can use the latest technology and understand how to effectively use information in the rapidly changing media environment.
Program Overview
The bachelor of science is offered through the College of Business and provides more depth in business curriculum. The bachelor of arts degree is offered through the College of Arts & Sciences and is for students who prefer a liberal arts degree with an emphasis on business. General Course Information
The bachelor's degree in media arts administration requires roughly 70 credit hours with a comprehensive core in business and media arts, Students take required business courses in accounting, economics, management, finance and marketing, along with film history, television or radio production, art history and desktop publishing. You will also take courses specifically geared towards not-for-profit organizations.
