Theatre is a great learning tool! Concordia University's Artists of Concordia Theatre (A.C.T.) offer a wide variety of
on-stage and behind the scenes experiences for all students, no matter what degree program they are pursuing.
A.C.T. sponsors 4 major productions a year including:
- 2 plays each Fall Semester
- 1 Musical each Spring Semester
- 1 Children's Theatre each Spring Semester
Opportunites to act, direct, design, stage managing, etc. are available for any of our productions during the academic year. Several of our theatre courses offer acting or directing opportunities as well.
Fish Out of Water, our drama ministry team, offers unique opportunities for students to use drama as a means of sharing the Gospel in a variety of different settings.
Over the summer months, students from most any background are invited to work in a more professional manner with our Young Actor's Workshops. Here they are given the chance to teach theatre and its many aspects to young children as they mount a full production.
With Concordia Uuniversity located so near the richness of Chicago theatre, a host of opportunities exist for our students to examine theatre on many different levels.
