The Concordia University Chicago community today shares the passing and celebrates the life of Dr. Deb (Lutze) Serra ’86, Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, who died in the Lord on Monday, September 17 after an aggressive battle with cancer.
Dr. Serra graduated from Concordia University in 1986 and returned to serve her alma mater in 1994. She taught for 19 years, being named Distinguished Professor in 2012, and was also Assistant to the Vice President of Academics. Dr. Serra viewed every student that she taught as a gift from God. Alumni wishing to celebrate Dr. Serra's ministry and legacy are invited to join family and friends for:
- A choir of students, alumni and friends is also being assembled for the Saturday service. Rehearsal will be at 9:30 a.m. in McCormick Recital Hall in Kretzmann Hall on the River Forest Campus.
