Spotlight on All-American Antwon James

Freshman Antwon James earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division III track & field national championships on May 23. Antwon finished eighth in the long jump with a 23' 8 1/2" becoming Concordia's first male track & field athlete to earn the honor and second in school history behind Davina (Polk) Lausen '93 (women's triple jump, 1992). President Johnson Announces Retirement

Concordia University Chicago president Dr. John F. Johnson announced that he will step down from the presidency on August 16, 2013. “It has been my great privilege to lead Concordia-Chicago,” Johnson said. “I have been personally blessed to serve at this University during an exceptional period of growth and change." The entire Concordia community is invited to celebrate Dr. Johnson's years of ministry and service during the Opening Service of the 150th Academic Year and following reception on Sunday, August 25. Forester "In Brief" Electronic Edition Now Available

The first edition of the Forester In-Brief, which replaces Concordia's traditional May print issue, is now available as an interactive PDF online publication. Alumni will continue to receive hard copies of our remaining print editions each January and August. Cougar Baseball Finishes in Regional Championship Final

Concordia University Chicago baseball's 39-7 season ranked the team 16th nationally in the final poll of the 2013 season by The record-breaking season included a Northern Athletics Conference regular-season championship, a 4-0 run through the conference tournament to claim the automatic berth to the NCAA III playoffs. The team then went 3-2 in the Central Regional advancing to the championship game. Read More >>
