Celebrating the Life of Dr. Leonard Schoepp '55

Dr. Leonard Schoepp '55, Professor Emeritus of Art, died in the Lord on Monday, January 13. Known for his pottery and love of ceramics, Len taught studio art and art education at his alma mater for 33 years. He touched the lives of many student artists before retiring in 1997. Read more>>

Kotlowitz Continues 150th Anniversary Speaker Series

Concordia University Chicago will host Alex Kotlowitz, award-winning journalist, documentarian and best-selling author, on Thursday, February 6. The free event will be held in the Chapel of our Lord on the River Forest campus. Tickets Still Available for Carnegie Hall Performance

A new block of tickets has been released for alumni and friends to experience the Wind Symphony, Concordia's premier touring ensemble, live at historic Carnegie Hall in New York City on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. The special ticket package includes a two-hour pre-concert reception and entrance to the evening performance of the New York Wind Band Festival. Renovated Fitness Center Debuts in Late February

Concordia is finalizing renovations of the new, modern Fitness Center in the former campus pool area. The space will hold top of the line exercise equipment, flat screen televisions and contemporary décor, creating an exciting environment for students, faculty and staff. The space will be dedicated on Wednesday, February 26 at 11 a.m. during Chapel. Travel to Croatia this November with Alumni & Friends

Mark Waldron '80 will lead alumni and friends on a 11-day tour of Croatia this fall, November 1 - 12, featuring stops along Lake Bled, the Dalmatian Coast and Dubrovnik. Trip costs include roundtrip airfare from Chicago, nine nights of accommodations, breakfast daily, five dinners and guided sightseeing. Guests that book by May 1 will save $250. Alumni Invited to Share Feedback to Higher Learning Commission

Concordia-Chicago is seeking alumni comments in preparation for evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The University will host a visit on March 19-21, 2014, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Concordia University Chicago has been continuously accredited by the Commission since 1951. Your feedback will assist the team's review of the University’s ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation. Learn More >>
