Giving To Concordia

150th Anniversary Thank Offering

Celebrating 150 Years of Concordia University Chicago Graduates Sharing the Gospel

The study of God’s word that takes place in Concordia University Chicago’s classrooms reaches far beyond campus. As humble vessels of ministry, CUC alumni have shared the joy of the Gospel through service, leadership and involvement in congregations, schools and communities—around the world.

The University’s Sesquicentennial celebration culminates on October 12, 2014—officially declared Synod-wide as Concordia University Chicago Sunday—150 years of work, dedication and leadership for our church will be honored through a special Thank Offering.

To be presented during the October 12th worship service, the Thank Offering will support scholarships for church work students, ensuring those with a servant heart are not deterred from ministry due to financial burden.

Honor those who have served our congregations for decades.

Participating Congregations

To participate, congregations can plan a Sunday of their choosing prior to October 12 to host their own thank offering. Gifts or pledges of $1,500 or more toward the national Thank Offering will be specially recognized along with an invitation for a congregation representative to participate in the October 12th worship service.

To support your efforts, church bulletins in color and black and white are available for download.
