Jennifer Hooten
Academic Advisor
Jennifer became a member of the Office of Undergraduate Academic Advising in December 2011 and is looking forward to assisting undergraduate students in setting and reaching their academic goals in order to become leaders in the community. Jennifer has earned a Master of Art in Counseling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University.
As a leader in her undergraduate community, Jennifer helped identify and advocate for positive change within the Eastern Michigan University Greek Community. She also assisted in the planning, promotion, and fundraising for the Eastern Michigan University Playground Project. During her graduate coursework, Jennifer has gained practicum experience at Haymarket Center, Orland Township Youth and Family Services, and South-Southwest Suburban United Way.
Prior to joining Concordia University, Jennifer was employed at DeVry University as an Academic Advisor, where she supported undergraduate and graduate level students in planning and achieving their educational goals. During this time, she also had the opportunity to be a volunteer and committee member for the I-88 Corporate Relay for Life.
