Concordia University issues diplomas after all three semesters (Summer, Fall, and Spring)
Commencement
Concordia University holds formal commencement ceremonies only after the Fall and the Spring Semesters.
Please note: August graduates are invited to walk at the December ceremony.

Applying for Graduation
Every student intending to graduate must complete the "Intent to Graduate Form" and turn it in by the published due date for each term. For Summer 2008 graduation (no ceremony), Intent forms must be turned in by May 30, 2008; for Fall 2008 graduation, Intent forms must be turned in by September 5, 2008; for Spring 2009 graduation, Intent forms must be turned in by January 16, 2009. For Fall 2009 Graduation the deadline is September 18, 2009.
Sometime 6-8 weeks prior to commencement a letter will be sent to all intending graduates to the address given on the form. This letter will give detailed instructions regarding graduation rehearsal and the commencement ceremony. Please read the letter carefully. Any questions not answered in the letter can be asked at graduation rehearsal.
Degree Processing
Grades are traditionally due to the Registrar's Office the Wednesday following the last day of the semester. Once grades are in and processed, degree audits begin. Once the Registrar has declared your program complete, barring any outstanding responsibilities to the University, your degree will be posted and your diploma and official transcripts will be forwarded to the Mailing Address on the intent to graduate form.
