15th Annual Community Bank 'Makin' Tracks' 5K Run/Walk

The 15th Annual Community Bank “Makin’ Tracks” 5K Run/Walk" will be held Sept. 15, in River Forest. The event is sponsored by the Community Bank of Oak Park River Forest, the River Forest Park District, Concordia University Chicago and Fenwick High School.

Net proceeds benefit the West Suburban Special Recreation Association, which provides recreation services for adults and children with physical impairments, developmental delays, mental disabilities or other disabilities.

The walk/run will begin 8 a.m., on Monroe Street, a half-block south of Division Street. The race route will take runners and walkers on a 3.1-mile course through River Forest’s flat, tree-lined streets before ending on Concordia University Chicago’s Cougar Stadium track.

*CARA members receive a $3 discount

All paid registrations are able to participate in the 5K Race/Walk and receive a t-shirt, goody bag, and food and water after the event.
