“Back-to-the-Books” Scholarship

Current scholarship U.S. Dollar range is $1,000 – $2,000.

The Downers Grove Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is offering a scholarship to eligible women of the Downers Grove, Darien, Lisle, Westmont and Woodridge postal districts.

Requirements:

• Woman who has resumed higher education after a five-year absence.
• Full-time student enrolled at an accredited college/university.
• Within 2 years of completing Bachelor or Graduate degree, or within one year of completing Associates degree.
• Resident of Downers Grove, Darien, Lisle, Westmont or Woodridge.

A half-time student qualifies for $1,000 if she is within one year of completing her undergraduate or graduate degree, or $500 if she is within one year of completing her Associates degree.

The scholarship is awarded in November for use in the first semester after January 1.
