Martin Luther King legacy celebration

Join Concordia University Chicago in celebrating the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. The keynote address will be given by Dr. Marc Lamont Hill at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Our Lord.

The address will follow a day of campus activities to commemorate Dr. King's legacy, including a special chapel service and a Campus Awareness Day built upon student organizations and their heritage of service to the community.

Dr. Hill is one of the leading hip-hop generation intellectuals in the country. He is the host of the nationally syndicated television show Our World with Black Enterprise, which airs Sunday mornings on TV One. He has lectured widely and provides regular commentary for media outlets such as NPR, Washington PostEssence magazine, and The New York Times and has been a regular guest on CNN, MSNBC, and The O’Reilly Factor. In fall 2009, he joined the faculty of Columbia University as associate professor of education at Teachers College.
