The Commuter Lounge:
The Commuter Lounge is a new space for commuters on campus located near the ramp leading to the Library Cafe. While there are many good places on campus to study or meet with groups, this is the best spot to relax and watch some TV on the new flat screen! If you are looking for a carpool partner, information and requests are posted on our carpool board in the lounge.
Lockers are located in the Koehneke Community Center (KCC), on the main level and near the mailroom on the lower level. Locker request forms are available in the KCC office, located to the right of the KCC Information Desk. Commuter students may choose any available locker but you must provide your own lock. Assignments are for the academic year only, so lockers must be cleaned out in May.
Additional lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the second floor of the Krentz Building.
All students are assigned a mailbox when they enroll at Concordia University Chicago. If you have any questions about your mailbox, stop by the mailroom on the lower level of the KCC.
In addition, the mailroom is a fully functioning U.S. post office. You can buy stamps, post items, and weigh and mail packages.
Eating on Campus:
All commuter students receive $125 in Cougar Cash each semester, the cost of which is included in your student fees. There are other meal plan options available, created with commuter students in mind. For more information, please visit http://www.cuchicagodining.com/plans.html
Getting to Campus:
Currently, CUC does not offer the CTA U-PASS but students can buy discounted CTA and Pace passes in the Business Services Office (x3241 or firstname.lastname@example.org). More information can be found in Concordia Connect under Public Transportation on the Resources tab.
Commuter students can purchase a commuter parking pass from the Department of Public Safety. You can apply for your parking pass in Concordia Connect under Campus Parking on the Resources tab.
