Her work with ethnic/indigenous communities informs the content of her artwork. Through painting, drawing, printmaking and collage, she explores and exposes own inner dialogue on the complex issue of human interaction.

Fiber Artists’ Coalition (F.A.C.) Exhibition

View the works of Midwestern fiber artists devoted to promoting the art of the quilt through traveling exhibitions. Some techniques F.A.C. members use: painting, stamping, dyeing, printing, batik, shibori, discharge, embellishment, collage, etc.

 Artists who wish to apply for exhibition opportunities are asked to mail twenty images via cd, slides or photographs, resume, show listing and proposal to Professor BettyAnn Mocek, Ferguson Art Gallery 7400 Augusta Street River Forest, Il 60305. Exhibitions are scheduled up to two years in advance.

About the Ferguson Art Gallery

Ferguson Art Gallery is located at Concordia University Chicago in Kretzmann Hall, just off Bonnie Brae and Thomas Streets in River Forest, IL Bonnie Brae is one block west of Harlem Ave.

Bringing the region’s rich diversity of visual art to the Oak Park/River Forest and University communities, Ferguson Art Gallery at Concordia University Chicago showcases the works of established and upcoming Chicago-area artists in five to six exhibits each year, including special events celebrating African-American perspective, Hispanic heritage, women’s history and Chicago history.

The gallery is directed by BettyAnn Mocek, Concordia University Professor of Art, Chicago artist and arts advocate.
