Lutheran Teacher Education

If you choose this field, you will benefit from Concordia’s long and successful history of preparing educators for the Lutheran school system. There are more than 1,990 Lutheran schools in the United States, with more than 100 Lutheran elementary schools and five Lutheran high schools in the Northern Illinois District (NID) of The Lutheran Church––Missouri Synod (LCMS) alone.

We offer programs in early childhood, elementary and secondary education. Students who plan to teach only music may choose our bachelor of music education program. All of Concordia’s education programs exceed the requirements of the Illinois State Certification Board and meet vigorous national accreditation standards.
