Lisa LovitschLisa Lovitsch returns for her second season as a Cougar volleyball assistant.

"I am very excited to be coaching volleyball at Concordia," states Lovitsch. "Last year's group was something special, and I am glad that I was afforded an opportunity by Coach Gebhardt to be part of a terrific season."

Lovitsch, a native of suburban Westmont, has coached volleyball at various levels for over 16 years, including high school (Glenbard West), grade school (Trinity Roselle) and club. The latter experience, coming with Hawk Attack in Medinah, reuniteed her with current Cougar player Kari Herbst who Lovitsch had coached in grade school and is now coaching at Concordia.

Lovitsch comes from a tremendously varied sports background. She played soccer, basketball and softball at Westmont High School, winning MVP and all-conference honors in all three. Lovitsch repeated the feat for basketball and softball at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska where she also earned the Bulldogs' Senior Athlete award and the Distinguished American College Student award. Currently, she is licensed to coach volleyball, basketball, golf, soccer and softball.

Lovitsch graduated Concordia Seward in 1990 with a B.S. in elementary education/art. She earned her Master of Education in 1996 from the University of Phoenix in Denver and is presently studying visual communications at the School of the Art Institute in Schaumburg. Lovitsch also works as Concordia's coordinator of graduate admission communication.
