Tennis Coach Vern Klotz

Vern Klotz enters his fourth season as head coach of both the women's and men's tennis teams at Concordia University.

A 1967 alumnus, Klotz has taught mathematics and computer science at Concordia since 1986. Concordia's Student Association recognized his excellence in teaching by voting him Professor of the Year for the 2002-03 academic year.

Klotz coached varsity tennis, both women's and men's, at St. Paul's High School in Concordia, Missouri for 10 years and coached men at the junior college level for four years. His prep coaching background also includes four years of girls' varsity basketball and seven years of boys' junior varsity basketball.

Klotz earned his B.A. in physical science from Concordia in 1967. He has both an M.S. Ed. in physical science education (1973) and an M.S. in applied mathematics (1984) from Central Missouri State University.
