Athletic Hall of Fame

Class of 2007

Donald Kell, ’53 - Kell earned a total of 10 varsity letters in football, basketball and baseball. He earned all-conference football honors in 1949, 1951 and 1952. Kell has served as an administrator for many school and church organizations, including a term as president of the Lutheran Education Association.

Lynn Korff, ’85 – Korff lettered in tennis, basketball and softball for four years each, earning conference honors in tennis and basketball. She has worked as a teacher, coach and athletic director in Lutheran education for over 20 years.

Thomas Nahnsen, ’55 – Nahnsen lettered for four years in basketball and three years each for football and baseball. He contributed to Cougar history in the early days of CIT. Following graduation, Nahnsen taught and coached in LCMS schools for a total of 41 years.

Vernon Siekmann, ’54 – Siekmann was a three-year letterman and team captain in both football and baseball, following three years of naval duty during World War II. He would go on to teach, coach and serve as principal in Lutheran education for a total of 32 years.

Reuben Stohs, ’48 – Stohs played basketball and baseball at Concordia, later going on to coach both sports. He went on to play in both the St. Louis Browns and Brooklyn Dodger organizations but later would teach at the Concordias in River Forest and later Seward for a combined 36 years.
