Concordia University Chicago students participate in national marketing competition

A team of undergraduates from Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, Ill., participated in the second annual Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) National Student Marketing Competition. Members, from left, were Mary Michaelsen, of Lemont, Ill.; Natalie Gudel, of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; Allison Schoenback, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Emily Carpenter, of Portage, Ind.; with faculty advisor Elisabeth E. Dellegrazie, assistant professor of marketing.

The students traveled to St. Louis, Mo., to present their final marketing campaign April 12 after doing research and creating ads and marketing materials throughout the semester in an Integrated Marketing Communication course.  They competed against five other Concordia University System schools; Concordia University Irvine, Calif., took top honors in this year’s event.
