Monday, September 8th from 11:30-12:30 in Bergmann Theatre.

Art
Concordia University offers its students several options within the Art department. Art is offered as a major and minor for the liberal arts and secondary education student and a specialization in early childhood and elementary education majors.
The Chicago metropolitan area offers a wide range of opportunities for art students. The world-renowned Art Institute Of Chicago is used for field trips for art department classes. The Museum of Contemporary Art, Terra Museum of American Art, Mexican Arts Center Museum, DuSable Museum, and 40 professional galleries offer other enrichment opportunities. Chicagoland's architecture displays some of the finest examples by American architects of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Oak Park and River Forest area, home to the Frank Lloyd Wright home and studio, contains many buildings designed by this world famous architect.
Theatre
Are you interested in becoming a high school theatre teacher and director, a manager, a theatre actor or director, an elementary school teacher, a personnel director, or a producer? Then Concordia's Communication and Theatre department major may be for you!
Chicago ranks as one of the top three cities in the nation for theatre. Concordia's curriculum takes advantage of the numerous area productions. For example, the Contemporary Theatre class attends many theatrical productions and builds classroom activities around the plays. If Concordia's many A.C.T. productions don't keep you busy enough, you may wish to audition for upcoming plays at the Oak Park Village Players or the Circle Theatre in neighboring Forest Park. These community theatres are always open to reviewing new talent.
Communications
Are you interested in public relations, personnel, development. How about television and radio broadcasting or production, or publications? Then communications might be the major for you! Concordia University's communications major and minor are well-rounded and based in the tradition of liberal arts. With our interdepartmental approach, the Concordia student may take classes in art, business, English, and sociology, in addition to communication courses.
Graphic Arts
Are you interested in advertising layout, commercial art or graphic art? Perhaps you are interested in photography, design or display. Concordia University offers a major in graphic arts that is based in the tradition of liberal arts.
Communication and Theatre
Unable to decide which area you love more? Interested in learning how theatre communicates or how communication happens through theatre? Concordia's Communication and Theatre major may be just for you. This program allows you to pursue study in both areas, applying what you learn to both areas.
Arts Administration
Interested in the business side of visual and performing arts? Find yourself with a knack for organization and numbers but still like to exercise the creative side of your brain? Concordia's Arts Administration programs provide a well-balanced liberal arts foundation as well as the freedom to focus your interested in theatre, visual arts, media, or business.
