Bethel
This is a student-led group devoted to developing meaningful relationships with inner-city youth through basketball, Bible study and prayer.

The Center for Economic Opportunity
The Center for Economic Progress increases economic opportunities for low-income families, children, and individuals by improving access to public, private, and non-profit programs and services. Through direct services, public education, and advocacy, the Center challenges barriers facing its constituency, thus encouraging self-sufficiency and promoting economic prosperity. www.centerforprogress.org

PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter)
An organization that provides meals, shelter and support for individuals experiencing homelessness in the Chicago area. www.pads-crisis-services.org

Emmaus
A ministry working with male prostitutes to help them find freedom in Christ. www.streets.org

Habitat for Humanity
A non-profit organization that works towards eliminating poverty by partnering volunteers with future home-owners to build affordable housing. www.habitat.org

LArche
A haven where individuals with mental handicaps are taught through love their place and importance within society www.larchechicago.org

Marillac House
An organization that enables families in Chicago's south side to raise their children in a loving and nurturing environment by offering programs that address many of the needs created by poverty. www.marillachouse.org

Misericordia
An organization that provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities by increasing their level of independence and dignity. www.misericordia.org

Sarahs Inn
An organization that helps survivors of domestic violence and their families find healing and rebuild their lives. www.sarahsinn.org

Youth Outreach Service (YOS)
An organization committed to creating environments in which the youth of Chicago can thrive in all aspects of life. www.yos.org

Service Trips

Gulf Coast
Student, staff, and faculty-led groups that travel to hurricane-ravaged areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to help victims of Katrina clean their houses, rebuild their homes and find hope in the midst of devastation.

Habitat Global Village
An overseas branch of Habitat for Humanity where participants are exposed to a new culture while building relationships, houses and lives.
