Emily Chambers, PhD

Associate Professor

College of Education Dr. Chambers teaches courses including Characteristics and Instruction of Exceptional Learners, Classroom Management Collaborative and Educational Relationships with Families and Professionals, and Special Education Student Teaching. She also serves as Coordinator of Special Education and Special Education Teacher Candidate Advisor.  Her research interests focus on teacher preparation, specifically on teacher attrition and retention.  Dr. Chambers began teaching at Concordia University Chicago in 2012. Dr. Chambers is married with two children, boys ages three and five. Her family is completed by two labradoodle dogs. On her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and gardening.
